They're Back

There is something great about a comfy pair of stretch pants... I can't believe they are coming back in style! I just remember sneaking into Mandi's closet one fine day in middle school and "borrowing" her black stretch pants and oversized panda bear sweater and wearing it to school. I felt so cool in that outfit and it was even worth the wrath I took for it when Mandi found out. I think I may be the only one alive that is super excited about this upcoming fashion trend. 1: they are comfy, 2: they are cheap, 3: The oversized sweater covers everything while still looking stylish instead of frumpy (yes it's true) and 4: They are SO FASHION.

You forgot #5: You have to be a toothpick to look halfway decent in them.

I am so not jazzed! (That's from a show we watched last night and a gay guy kept saying that and got beat up every time he said it. It was funny....maybe you had to be there.)

But, what a stupid fashion trend! 80's clothes were hideous. They're so unflattering - on me, anyway. Sorry Jaime, I just don't see the vision. And I don't remember that outfit at all! Sounds super cute, though. A panda sweater?? What's not cool about that?!

I feel like my comment was too harsh. I'm just bitter - sorry.

I never really got into that look in the 80's - but now that I don't mind hiding a few things with an oversized sweater it might be great! (Are you sure they don't look frumpy?) I have no recollection of the panda sweater. It sounds super cute (???) How old were you back then 11? Was that before the lucky overalls? I've never been partial to the overall look.

I'm really struggling with the tight spandex t-shirts that hug all the fat rolls. I think the more oversized the look the better!

I think I'll just wait this one out--just like I've done with all the other trends for the past 4 years--except for layering, I've got to have the tight shirt underneath to hold up my pants. I hate trying to look cute. It's annoying to me.
