The Hilton Code
In light of the movie The Divinci Code, I got to thinking about me and Jed's moronic code that we have with each other. I don't even know how this got started (I think Ike had something to do with it - long ago). It has come in very handy when we are with people who bug, or if we don't want our kids to hear something. When we were in Myrtle Beach, we would be in the car and instead of keeping all of our frustrations inside (heaven forbid) we would just say something like i-dong-i-o-tong (idiot), jong-e-rong-kong (jerk) or our favorite mong-o-rong-o-nong (moron). The sad thing is Jed has a hard time spelling the words right, so it would take us like 5 minutes to figure out one word. Anywho, the other night we were thinking about taking Jessie golfing with us, but we didn't want her to know until we knew for sure we were going (she can be relentless), so I said "Jong-e-song-song-i-e should go gong-o-long-fonging with us". Jessie, who was listening intently said, "you're taking me golfing?" We could not believe that she had broken the code! What a genius! We even told Jody and Dannell how to do it and they still couldn't figure it out, which made for some fun. Anyway, it's a very annoying language to learn and may come in handy for you someday...

That's so funny. I would totally be like Jed--I'm really bad at figuring out stuff like that, even if it's easy.
After reading Mandi's jokes with Paul and this, I'm feeling really lame. Gary and I need to get some more inside jokes!
Ong language!! I bet you learned that from Kent... he and I would always talk like that when we were younger. I am Zong-a-kong. Gong-i-vong-e mong-e a-long-long yong-o-u-rong mong-o-nong-e-yong!! Hahahaha... O-Hong Dong-e-a-rong.
I like Mand's more simple codes of hmmmm and YOU. The ong language is too hard to translate. Jessie probably learned the language at a young age. You shouldn't be surprised.
Maybe you should do some subliminal sales tactics Zak - bong-i-gong hong-a-rong-rong-e song-pong-i-dong-r-song. They would order for sure.
Big Harre Spiders? Wow, mom. I didn't know that came from Kent. Every time I hear it, I die laughing. Jody couldn't do it so he would just say "Icksnay on the Nicksnay". I don't know.
That's way too complicated for me.
That was funny Ike.
wow. i don't know if this will ever be read...seein' that you posted almost a month ago. but i found this hilarious and wanted to add on! it actually was really big in my mission! you either spoke 'ong,' or you didn't. seriously, it was really big. i heard our mission president's wife (she needs a shorter title) hated it, mentioning something about 'secret combinations.' i'll im telling you is you haven't heard the song "armies of helaman" until you have heard it in 'ong.'
