Housekeeping

About a month ago, Jed and I decided to buy a janitorial company in Cedar City, called Cedar Shines Janitorial. Why, you ask? Who knows. Jed is always looking at businesses and this just caught his eye. When he told me about it I thought that this would be a great thing for me to do while my kids are all in school. Why didn't I just enjoy the freedom for one year? So, we went into more debt, which is our specialty, and started a janitorial company. It has been A LOT of work so far getting it up and running. I feel like I have been running this whole month to get things taken care of, but now I can see the light. Another thing I realized after starting this new business... I HATE to clean. I don't want to clean my own house, let alone someone's office. Jed and I have had to clean the SL office a couple of times - it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't want to do it everyday (or even once a week...) The toilet cleaner that we have to use actually kills the HIV virus. Isn't that overkill, or am I clueless? I was out of toilet bowl cleaner at home, so I took some from our SL office and now my toilets are HIV free!

If you know anyone in Cedar City who needs some extra work, let us know! Because Cedar Shines. Oh ya, baby.

It sounds like it will be a good thing once everything is in place. I hope so!

I'm so glad your toilets are HIV free.

You guys sure keep busy. And - you both have a knack for running businesses. Good for you!

To be honest with you - I think it's great to have HIV killing toilet bowl cleaner.

Public bathrooms always kind of freak me out. I REALLY hate it when my kids have to use the bathroom in a public place ... and they ALWAYS do - so, I'm cringing a lot. It's so gross.

I think a lot of people hate cleaning ... so, I imagine you'll get lots of business!

I think you guys are AMAZING running these businesses. I don't think I could do it. You're awesome! I hope it goes really well for you.

That is a really scary thought - needing to rid the HIV virus. I thought it was impossible to get it from a toilet seat. Does the cleanser manufacturer know this - or is he trying to make his product sound too good to be true?

Thanks for the encouragement! I am NOT awesome at running a business! I have to rely on Jed a ton. But it is teaching me about myself. I have a lot of fears and it holds me back. We'll see if I can change it!
