Watch Out

I've been noticing that my eye sight isn't what it used to be. It's funny as I get older, things gradually get worse, but I don't do anything about it- I just pretend that it isn't happening. But, my eyesight is getting so bad that I can't see all of the little black marks on music when I'm teaching (so I have to sit really close - my poor students) and I lost the alphabet game to Jed twice this weekend because I couldn't see the billboards. I don't even have to sing the alphabet to know what the next letter is (Jed is the bomb at the alphabet game- hehehe). So last night was the clincher. I was taking the YW home and it was dark. It gets extra hard to see when it's dark... Anyways, there is construction on Redwood and I was turning left onto Redwood. Luckily there weren't a lot of cars out because I drove right into one of those big orange construction barrells. I didn't even see it! One of the YW sitting next to me yelled "Jaime DON'T HIT THE BARRELL!!!" When I hit it (very slowly- it didn't do anything to my car) I yelled "SH--!" Nice. Sorry to all of those parents out there depending on me to be a great example. I think it's time to get some glasses.

Funny. That's the same thing I said when a car hit us on the freeway, except it had a HOLY in front of it...Ryan and his poor date were in the car too...he still brings it up.

About the glasses, I always thought I wanted glasses cause I thought they were cute, so last Christmas I went to have an eye exam hoping that I'd need glasses (how retardo is that?) Turns out that my eyes were pretty bad and they were surprised I'd waited so long. I never wear them though. They weren't as cute as I'd hoped. Anyway, you should go...Costco's a good place...we'll come and help you pick them out!

That is hillarious Jaim - I have an eyeglass prescription, so when you're ready we can head to Cosco or go for a 2 for one deal somewhere. It would be really good for me to always keep them in the car- very helpful for driving.

Can you believe how easy the sh--word can fly. I wonder if your kids will condemn and berate you for using it on occasion.

It sounds like it's time for glasses. I think you'll be amazed at how wonderful the world is with glasses. You can see trees on the mountains and everything, plus you don't hit road barrels. Both of my daughters use the sh-- word. I wonder where they got that from? That sin will probably be upon my head.

Wait! I probably could say that all three of my daughters use that word. I'm just guessing that it may slip out for Mandi every once in a while.

Ike got his glasses when we were engaged and the lady behind the counter said, "You've been driving without glasses?" Nice. I felt safe in the passenger seat.

I got "cute" glasses last year for christmas but sometimes I just don't want to wear them (like on sunny days when I need to wear my sunglasses but there's no way I'm going to get prescription sunglasses - I only wear dollar store sunglasses because I'm always breaking or losing them) so I have contacts for backup. I highly recommend them. They're way cheap at Costco too.

Rand - I can say that at least one of your sons doesn't say the Sh-- word. Just thought that would make you feel better.

I know that Zak has a very clean mouth as well. I don't know why the daughters picked it up.
